Common questions we get from enrolling clients.

What kind of diet is this?
A high protein, low carb diet.
What kind of food may I eat?
Grocery & restaurant food. No prepaid food or shakes.
Will I be hungry on this diet?
(No) You will eat 3 big meals or 6 to 8 little meals a day with one gallon of water per day.
May I take vitamins while on this diet?
Yes, multi-vitamins, Vitamin E, Omega 3 fish oil, potassium and/or calcium.
What is the average weekly and monthly weight loss?

(Men) First week on diet: 5-10 lbs. Second week until goal is met, 2-5 lbs.

(Women) First week on diet: 4-8 lbs. Second week until goal is met, 2-5 lbs.

*However, weight may vary depending on your age and starting weight.
Is there a weekly fee?

Yes, There is a $39 weekly fee that covers:

  • Up to two visits per week (fee is due at first visit)
  • Food guide with recipes
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Weight checks
  • Vitamin B-12 injection
  • Appetite suppressants
Is there a maintenance program when I reach my target weight?
Yes, a 2 week program to help you maintain your target weight, no extra charge.
Does a staff member work with me one on one?
Yes, Orion has their own staff separate from First Choice Family Medical.
How many times a week do I have to check in?
Twice per week, unless told differently by the doctor. We are open 7:45 am to 5:15 M-F. We don’t close for lunch and there is always someone here for you. Please remember that with this program getting weighed is very important at every visit.
